SAN Group acquires AniCon Labor GmbH

SAN Group acquires the German company AniCon Labor GmbH situated in Hoeltinghausen, Lower Saxony, and with it expands its portfolio with autogenous vaccines and veterinary diagnostics.

Solutions for veterinary diagnostics, production of livestock-specific vaccines and food safety.   

 

Acquiring the German producer AniCon Labor GmbH marks another milestone in the growth strategy of SAN Group. The provider of veterinary diagnostics, livestock-specific vaccines for farm animals and food safety, located in Hoeltinghausen, Lower Saxony, was founded in 2005 as a service laboratory, and employs about 220 staff members. AniCon is one of the leading producers on the European market, and is renowned worldwide for its state-of-the-art lab center and comprehensive expertise in the species of poultry, swine, cattle, sheep, goats, and fish. Klaus-Peter Behr, the present owner of AniCon, will remain in the company as its CEO and will continue to work for SAN Group.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. This acquisition will have no impact whatsoever on the service that AniCon customers are accustomed to.
