SAN Group Announces New Chief Financial Officer and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

CEO Kai Lie Stacher expresses confidence in CFO Gregor Baumann and CSO Plinio Barbarino to drive financial stability and customer centricity. Together, the three professionals will constitute the Executive Board of the SAN Group.

Herzogenburg (Austria), August 1, 2024 – SAN Group, a globally operating biotechnology company devoted to animal health, plant health and planet health, is announcing the appointment of two members to its Executive Board. Gregor Baumann has joined as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Plinio Barbarino has been appointed Chief Sales and Marketing Officer (CSO).

Gregor Baumann began his tenure as CFO on July 1, 2024. With degrees from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and the Danube University Krems, he has held several senior positions in finance, most recently serving as Division CFO at HOERBIGER. Gregor expressed his enthusiasm for joining SAN Group: "As the CFO of an outstanding company, I am excited to lead our organization into a sustainable future. Plinio Barbarino is CSO with immediate effect and will join the Executive Board on October 1, 2024. He holds a doctorate in animal science and an MBA from Vicosa Federal University (Brazil) and has a wealth of experience in sales and marketing within the animal health and biotechnology sectors. Prior to joining SAN Group in 2022, he served for several years at Biomin (ERBER Group), Pfizer and Cargill, where he held senior roles in business development and product management.
