FEMTech Biological Plant Protection Internship (f/m/x)

SAN Agrow is the crop protection business unit of SAN Group. SAN Agrow contributes to sustainable agriculture by providing biotechnological crop protection, nutrients, and bio stimulants. With successful products such as Blossom Protect™ or SUPPRESS® based on microorganisms or plant extracts, we are contributing to more sustainable agriculture. Through in-house R+D, we gain new insights in the areas of microbial biocontrol agents, microbial fermentations, plant extracts, bio stimulants, as well as plant nutrition. In this way we create new products for expanding our portfolio for conventional and organic farming.

These are the tasks we trust in you:

• Support our R&D team in designing and conducting experiments
• Carry out lab experiments independently
• Bring in your own ideas for improving processes in the lab
• Document experimental results and write reports

To grow in this position, it requires the following:

• Current study at an Austrian university (phytomedicine, phytopathology, microbiology, or a related field), at least one semester already completed
• Good knowledge of the most important plant pathogens
• Experience in performing bioassays to study different plant pathogens, microbiological and sterile work
• High level of commitment and hands-on mentality
• Independent and responsible way of working, critical thinking
• Good communication skills (German or English, written and spoken)

• You are rooted in Herzogenburg (Austria)
• We appreciate your expertise for 38.5 hours/week, full time, starting earliest in May 2022 for 4-6 months, depending on your availability
• Based on your professional experience and your qualification, we offer you a total compensation package from € 1.672,- gross monthly base salary
